I'm the PC Support Technician for the site, thats some 250 odd PC's
running all flavours of Windows and I also help to maintain the
network. In addition to this I am also the System Adminstrator
overseeing a Quality monitoring system in the company
Injection Moulding shop. This system monitors the machines process and generates
Statistical Process Control records.
All in all it's quite different from my original job
which was actually setting the machines up to produce the plastic components.
I have to admit that since taking up this position I have to come into contact
with PC's on a daily basis. This has helped me to overcome some of my prejudices
against them but also helps to make me appreciate my Amiga more :)
I got 'into' comms thanks to the CU offer & have been hooked ever since :-))
Thanks to ALL the people on the IFCI & CU Amiga mailing lists I have FINALLY
started to get to grips with HTML etc.
The company is called AMP. They are american based with sites all over
the world.
You may have come across their products in Maplins or RS catalogues.
Apart from work I have my PC and Amiga 1200 at home to keep me busy.
I've invested in the Siamese system 'budget' version and see how that
goes before investing more money.
Despite all that I find time to go on IRC on the weekends. I can be found on
irc.thenet.co.uk Port 7000 #FCI or spider.dal.net Port 6667 #SWAG or even
spider.dal.net Port 7000 #Amigazone. I usually appear as [Baldrick] :)
Of course no site would be complete without it's links page. So, without further ado,
Ladies and Gentlemen I give you:
